Future Children International (FCI) Back to Bash is an annual celebration that unites nearly 30 children in Sierra Leone to mark the start of a successful and hopeful new school year. This special event brings an inspiring energy to the conference room, fueled by the heartfelt stories of the children and the motivating words of our keynote speaker, Mr. Alhaji Mohamed Kanu, President of FCI’s Sierra Leone branch, who delivered an uplifting message to all attendees.
It is a profound honor to stand with you this morning and once again serve as the speaker for the Future Children International Sierra Leone Back to School Bash. I am equally grateful to share this moment with my dedicated and passionate team.
First and foremost, I am deeply thankful to Future Children International for appointing me as President for Sierra Leone. This role is a tremendous privilege, and I am touched by the trust and support shown towards my leadership. It fills me with hope to know there is a powerful network dedicated to supporting young, like-minded individuals in their educational journeys. Many of the children FCI supports are filled with joy and relief, knowing they can continue their education without the burden of unaffordable scholarships and learning materials. For this, I am profoundly grateful to FCI for giving me the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
Today marks a historic moment—our very first Back to School Bash in Sierra Leone. As I stand before you, I feel a mix of excitement and fulfillment. For years, I have dreamed of this day, and I can hardly believe I am here celebrating it with all of you.
Volunteering for Future Children International has been one of the most rewarding endeavors of my life. Despite the challenges along the way, my motivation has always been selfless: to create better opportunities for my team and the children we serve, improving their lives beyond what they once knew. I am humbled every time I reflect on this journey. I want to sincerely acknowledge and thank the Founder and CEO of Future Children International for her unwavering dedication and incredible work on behalf of the children of Sierra Leone. Inspired by her example, I am committed to rising to the challenges ahead and making the most of every opportunity presented to me. With the support of devoted educators and a passion for growth, I have gradually advanced to the position I hold today.
At Future Children International, I envision a future where I relentlessly pursue my dreams and use my unique talents to contribute meaningfully toward the wellbeing and progress of our children and humanity at large.
In closing, I thank you all once again for this golden opportunity to be the speaker at this inspiring event. Your faith in my leadership means the world to me, and I am truly overjoyed to celebrate our first Back to School Bash in Sierra Leone together.
