About Us
Who we are
Future Children International is a nonprofit organization founded by Mrs. Marie Fofanah Conteh, driven by a deep commitment to supporting children in Sierra Leone and the United States as they pursue education and financial security. Established in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2016, the organization was subsequently registered in Sierra Leone as an NGO and now operates within three districts: Bombali, Port Loko, and Tonkolili. Through dedicated leadership and a passion for positive change, Future Children International continues to empower young lives and foster brighter futures.
Vision for the Future
Future Children International envisions a world where every child receives both academic and financial support to attend the school of their choice, regardless of tribe, religion, ethnicity, race, or family background. By fostering hope, education, and opportunity, our organization empowers children to recognize and reach their full potential in diverse career paths. Through sustained commitment and community engagement, we work tirelessly to build a brighter, equitable future for the leaders of tomorrow.
